I got a chance to take a lot of airplane photos when I was working on the road. Now that I am at a desk all day, I rarely get to the airports.
For the past 4 months the north runway at FLL was closed for renovation. That meant all the planes, big and small, commercial and private, landed on the south runway. Today this will end. The north runway will reopen tomorrow.
I decided to stop by after work just to see if anything interesting or rare would land there. After shooting a few planes coming in from the west, my focus was diverted to the big and eye-catching Hard Rock Hotel. I decided to frame the hotel and an approaching plane against a golden background as the sun sets. This is the result.
