It can be disappointing to set your clock for 6:00 am on a Saturday or Sunday morning in anticipation of a glorious sunrise and not leave without a photo of that “glorious sunrise.” This morning served up a bit of a surprise.
There were clouds on the horizon this Saturday morning. I set up my tripod and hoped for the best. At 7:15 the sun rose from below the horizon but I only saw a very small piece of it. After taking a few shots and getting a few videos of the waves, I started to head back to the car. A bright beam of light caught my attention. I spun around reset the tripod and came away with three shots of the sun peeking through the clouds. The following is the best of the bunch.
